Why does Affiliate Marketing have to be so difficult?

I have to do everything the hard way, I should not have been surprised when it was no different trying to get an online business started on the internet. It was not because I didn’t try. Nor was it because I never purchased ‘products to help’ that were supposed to make me successful with my product creation. I learned later: it is called ”information overload” and fear of failure that stopped me from moving forward.

I did try a mentor. Oh yeah, been there, done that. I had a ‘phone call’ mentor for 6 weeks. To make a long story short:  when 6 weeks was gone, so was the mentor, and so was my money! I was very discouraged. By the time I figured out what the questions were, I no longer had that mentor and my online business was left to flail around. Then I gave up for awhile.

I couldn’t stay out of the process for long though.  The drive to succeed was strong. I found myself doing more research, which actually helped me to learn how to research more effectively.  After awhile, one of the products I found was authored by John Thornhill. I enjoyed John’s amazing products. They are easy to digest and got me motivated to get actively involved again. I found out about Affiliate Marketing and discovered a whole new world of product creation.

Even having products in the fires, getting ready to go, I still didn’t comprehend just HOW to make all these things start moving through internet marketing. I always read plenty, and still couldn’t get comfortable with the know-how to really make it happen.  So many ‘gurus’ forget what they learned before they found their online success. I knew without some really good help, I wasn’t ever going to find success online for myself…not even if I had over 100 products ready to market!

I heard myself talking to my computer screen, asking ”Why does Affiliate Marketing have to be so difficult?” I read so many ebooks and all their 7, 10, 21 tips to online success. But alas, success was not to be found. I bought their reports, ebooks, and signed up for their emails. After all was said and done, what I  ended up (with few exceptions) was an inbox loaded with ‘opt in’ forms linked to another site or ‘free’ enticement.

Which brings me to another pet peeve…
I’d sure like to know where the ‘quality content’ everybody is talking about?
I’d really like to see that promised ‘hot’ information that made the Sales Page so inviting!
Frustration and discouragement was almost became the end of my trying.

Even with all that going on, I was determined, (I admit it was really to prove my family wrong) so I made the giant leap. I wasn’t sure where I was leaping, but I simply HAD find that illusive success! I had no money to spend. But, I had to try and try again.  I just had to find it, the missing link necessary for this so called Affilliate Marketing Success.

We had previously received an email to sign up with John Thornhill Masterclass. But being procrastinators, we waited too long to decide and the class filled up really fast. So, once again, we missed out.

Then great loss fell upon my family. So it took several months until I could get back to my Internet Marketing strategy.

The next year, I received another email invitation for the Masterclass. I didn’t waste time.  I got myself a loan and signed right up.  (Not because the class is so expensive, but I absolutely had no money.)

I already knew (because of the information products I had already received from John Thornhill) this class was certainly going to be my ticket to finding success with the Affiliate Marketing. I became increasingly determined to be successful. I had heard that people give up and quit for whatever reasons. I was overwhelmingly determined to make it work. (I went into the project knowing it would not be easy to make time in my schedule. Oh that precious commodity!)

Life continues on… a couple times I get behind in the class. However, I would NOT quit! NO WAY! I suppose it was then that I decidedly found it.  Success isn’t all work. It isn’t all play.  What it really is: Pure DETERMINATION.

So with that great determination, I forged onward. If I get knocked down with discouragement; determination and drive pushed me up to my knees, and onto my feet!

I really do enjoy the Masterclass, and find it is refreshingly easy to understand and do the homework. The support team is absolutely amazing. (I don’t think there is anything they unable to help me fix.)  Videos are very simple, step by step instructions. PDFs for each video are really helpful for a reference (if need be) for the projects.

Needless to say, the Masterclass and the support team are continually there to assist with any questions or concerns.  I have always been treated like I am very capable, they are always professionals, helpful — and friendly! The other students to be encouragers also. I can’t express just how glad I am that I took that step! (Guess what else happened?  I was paid back that loan in a very short time!  Was I happy about that?  Oh, YEAH!!)

Now, all that having been said, it wouldn’t matter how perfect the Masterclass and the support team are: UNLESS I keep a tight hold onto determination. The secret that keeps me continuing on again — and again.

It is so important to have mentors and encouragers.  It doesn’t matter if you have a brick and mortar business or an online business. We need encouragement everyday.

I admit, there are still  days that come along when I find it would be so much easier if we could go out and get determination by the truck load!

Success isn’t going to come easily for most of us.   At least know this: If we have determination (and a mentor) Success IS within your reach.  Hang on for the entire ride and don’t ever let go! 

I know you have heard this before, but truly, if I can do it…. YOU CAN TOO!  Really!  Just don’t quit! Go for it.
